Camping Hammerslag is located in the province of Friesland, in the municipality of Noard-East Fryslân. This is a municipality with a varied landscape on the border of clay and sandy soil which runs right through the municipality.
An important place in the municipality is Kollum, which is located on the border of the open meadow area and the Noardlik Fryske Wâlden (Frisian Woods.) On this border the landscape changes from clay polder area to a more closed alder belt landscape (this in the southern part of the municipality).
Camping Hammerslag is located near the Lauwersmeer area. The Lauwersmeer area is a protected nature reserve, it is also on the world heritage list of Unesco and is the second dark sky park of the Netherlands. Camping Hammerslag offers you an oasis of peace in the hectic of every day life.
Our campsite is suitable for families, but also guests who do not bring children and want to enjoy hiking and biking can enjoy the tranquility with us. We have an extensive cycling route in this area. Sometimes various activities are organized for the guests.
