Carpet bowls is originally from England and is played on an 8-meter by 2-meter green (grass) mat. The object of the game is to roll the course ball as close to the small white ball as possible. The course ball is not completely round, so it makes a curve (called heading). They are like small bowling balls.
Two pairs take turns playing against each other. The other participants can watch along the lanes, have a chat or get another drink.
A maximum of 12 people can play per lane. We have 2 courts. Tactics and humor are the main ingredients.
